Movement Myth Busters
Fun facts that bust common fitness and PE myths. These quick myth busters help students see the real story behind movement, training, and healthy habits.
Myth 1: “No pain, no gain”
The truth: Exercise should feel challenging, but it should not feel like your body is sending out an emergency alarm. Sharp or lasting pain is a warning sign.
Myth 2: “Stretching before exercise prevents all injuries”
The truth: Stretching is helpful, but it is not a magic shield. A good warm-up, good technique, and safe training all work together.
Myth 3: “Only athletes need exercise”
The truth: Nope — everyone needs to move! Exercise helps students, adults, and older people stay healthy, strong, and full of energy.
Myth 4: “You must work out for hours to stay fit”
The truth: Short workouts can absolutely count. Staying active often is the real superpower.
Myth 5: “Sweating more means losing more fat”
The truth: Sweat is your body’s cooling system, not a fat-loss meter. Real fitness comes from regular activity, smart food choices, and enough rest.
